Blood Drive

Do you have COVID-19 Antibodies? Find out while helping to save a life by donating blood! Gulf Coast Regional Blood Center's mobile unit is stopping by the Rec & Tennis Center for a Blood Drive.  All successful donors will receive a hoodie and COVID-19 antibody results! Sign up for a time slot online.

Gingerbread Playground Competition
December 1-16
Submission Deadline: December 16
Cost: $10 per building kit

We know where gingerbread people live, but where do they play? Show us your gingerbread playground creations- most creative wins a prize! Pick up your starter kit for your playground cookie creation from the Rec & Tennis Center beginning December 1. Participants are welcome to add additional edible decorations! Submissions must be emailed to joksan.perez@missouricitytx.gov by December 16. A winner will be announced December 18. Virtual Tree Lighting Ceremony

Join us on the City's Facebook page for a virtual live stream of the annual City Hall Tree Lighting! Although there will be no in-person tree-lighting ceremony this year, the tree will remain lit at the City Hall Complex throughout the holidays. Stop by with your family for some festive photos in front of the dazzling 30 foot tree!

On your marks, get set, SHUFFLE! Get ready for a 2k that is not your average run through the park! Complete challenges along the course to earn pieces to become a snowman! Remember to wear your mask and a white T-shirt! Register online, or by calling 281-403-8637.

Missouri City Park & Recreation is teaming up with the Missouri City Police Department to collect toys for children this holiday season. Drop off new and unwrapped toys at the Rec to be donated to Bethel Ministries & Blue Santa.

Snow is in the forecast for Frosty Friday at the Rec! Join us for an evening of snow play, tasty treats, festive fun and snow much more. Masks and gloves required. Boots and waterproof clothes recommended!

Santa Claus learned how to use Zoom and wants to chat with little ones in Missouri City! Join us for a live chat with Santa from the comfort of your home. There are lots of children to talk to, so calls will be limited to 5 minutes per time slot.

Holiday Hunt in the Park

Buffalo Run Park
Cost: Free

We're challenging you and your family to a Holiday Hunt in the Park! Each letter of the alphabet is hidden along the walking trail at Buffalo Run Park. On the card is a corresponding number (1-26). Find each letter and fill in the number it represents to complete the puzzle. Think you have it figured out? Submit your answer to julia.thompson@missouricitytx.gov by December 29 and be entered to win a prize!
